While he's preparing for his upcoming tour, multi-award winning Tibetan singer-songwriter and producer Ansa GaRangDengZhen (Zen) is working on new music.
One of a new generation of folk and world music artists, he's bringing a modern take on Tibetan music to the world, while fulfilling his dreams of education and charitable work.
Zen became a global sensation after winning a Chinese Talent show. He became a regular guest performer on CCTV and other stations. He takes traditional Chinese music as his source and inspiration, and delivers it to the contemporary world.
You don't need to know anything about the traditions to be impressed with his vocal control and facility, or his mastery of various instruments. The music is rhythmic and broad in emotional scope, made accessible by the familiar song structures.
He's a multi-award winner for both his musical artistry and charitable work, including the American Love and Art Contribution Award, the British Charity Artist Honor and performing artist awards in Australia, Egypt, Qatar and Canada.
