From a media release - I checked out the opening yesterday and highly recommend if you can make it:
Visual Arts:
IN RETROSPECT
A solo show by Adrian Hayles
Norman Felix Gallery, 627 Queen Street West
Exhibition open to the public September 4 – 11, 2013
TORONTO - Norman Felix Gallery is pleased to present In Retrospect, a solo show by Adrian Hayles, and the first curatorial project featuring Window 8’s Fresh Paint virtual paint application accompanied by beautiful limited edition prints.
This exhibition also introduces Hayles’ Stud Horse – Foldable Artist Bench. A trailblazing design cushioned workbench, which easily transforms from easel to standing table to studio bench. Hayles will showcase his stunning Plywood Collective series of 6 pieces celebrating his 1st year anniversary within the SPiN Toronto-based collective.
Blurring the lines between graffiti and ultra realism, Adrian's voice and vision is isntantly identifiable. His works include portraits and illustrations for magazines along with collaborations with the City of Toronto to develop murals for vacant community spaces.
