Harbourfront Centre presents FREE movies under the stars
at Harbourfront, Toronto
TORONTO, ON – This summer, pack a picnic, bring a blanket and gather family and friends for a night of movies under the stars at Harbourfront Centre. Back by popular demand, the 2012 Free Flicks movie series features nine weeks of free outdoor movie screenings alongside the scenic shores of Lake Ontario.
Every Wednesday night at approximately 9 p.m. (from July 4-Aug. 29), head down to Harbourfront Centre for a variety of family-friendly movies that explore this year’s theme “Rise of the Underdog” through documentary, biographical and cult films.

Aug. 8-Whip It
Aug. 15-Whale Rider

Aug. 29-Voter’s Choice: Karate Kid, Rocky, Rudy or Billy Elliot
All Free Flicks movies are screened, rain or shine, at the WestJet Stage amphitheatre. Come early to find a good spot and enjoy activities prior to the start of each screening. Snacks, drinks and other treats will also be available for purchase before and during the show.
Free Flicks is part of Harbourfront Centre’s 2012 Summer Festival Season that boasts more than 20 FREE festivals and events, from the Victoria Day long weekend until Thanksgiving, featuring world-class local and international programming for children, youth and adults.
